Smart and creative in attack, Wood provides leadership and experience in the goal circle. One of Wood’s trademarks is her ability to shoot with accuracy from long range. Predominantly lining up at Goal Attack, the 31-year-old can also make an impact at Goal Shooter and Wing Attack.

For the second year in a row, Wood has been named Captain of the team. Her leadership extends to the Australian Diamonds where she is the current Vice Captain, of which she has been a member of since 2015.
