The circle defender comes to Lightning from Melbourne Vixens, having played 46 games across five seasons. Dehaney is known for her x factor as an impact player, as well as her impressive wing-span and when given more time on court in 2021 showed that she could take on even the most formidable of Goal Shooters. At 192cm tall, the Jamaican Sunshine Girl representative also brings height to Lightning’s defence line.
After serving an apprenticeship behind Australian Diamonds’ Emily Mannix and Jo Weston at the Vixens, she will be seeking more game time and development opportunities at Lightning.
Through the 2022 recruiting period, Kadie-Ann was a well sought-after GK before choosing to sign with the Sunshine Coast Club.
