Widely regarded as one of the best midcourters in the world, Diamonds Captain Liz Watson brings power, creativity and leadership to Sunshine Coast Lightning. Watson made her national debut in 2014 for the Melbourne Vixens and has played for the Club since, making the leap to the Sunshine Coast for the 2024 season.
Watson made her Australian Diamonds debut in 2016 and has since been awarded gold in every major competition. In 2018 and again in 2022 she was awarded Australian netball’s most prestigious award, the Liz Ellis Diamond.
