The athletic and intelligent Courtney Bruce has developed into arguably the competition’s leading Australian defender. Hailing from Perth, Bruce has played more than 100 national league games for the West Coast, but will make the move to the Sunshine Coast for the 2024 season.
Bruce has consistently been one of the top interceptors in the league, and impresses with her ability to read the play and get ball for her team. In 2021, after winning a premiership with Fever, she was named the first defender to win the Liz Ellis Diamond in a decade.
