Sunshine Coast Lightning Members and fans, there’s less than 150 days to go before Suncorp Super Netball 2022 Round 1, with the league making the official announcement today.
The first games of the new season will be played on the weekend of the 26 March 2022.
The season has been brought forward to allow for a full 60 games plus finals to take place in advance of the Commonwealth Games preparations mid-next year.
The league is currently working in consultation with Lightning, opposition clubs and new broadcaster Foxtel / Kayo on a fixture with more to be announced closer to the season commencement.
Expect a shake up with new time slots, marquee matches and rounds and additional coverage in partnership with the new broadcast partner.
Suncorp Super Netball also hinted that further information around the Team Girls Cup pre-season tournament and the official 2022 Grand Final date would be announced shortly.
The season is due to be completed ahead of Commonwealth Games preparations with the games scheduled to begin on 28 July 2022.
