Lightning are back at UniSC Arena this weekend to take on the ladder-leaders, the West Coast Fever.
After going down to Vixens last week for the first time this season, Fever will want to get back on the winners board. But Lightning will be hungry for another win at home after beating the Firebirds last week.
KEY MATCH UP
Leesa Mi Mi vs Kelsey Browne
Two of arguably the fastest players in the SSN, Mi Mi and Browne will likely go head-to-head in mid-court this weekend.
While their speed is one thing, both are also accurate feeders to their respective goal shooters. It will be who stands up in defence that will be pivotal to their side’s defensive unit.
COACH'S COMMENT
Lightning Head Coach Belinda Reynolds said while it will be a tough contest, the team is up for it.
“It’s definitely going to be a tough match against the Fever – they’ve been in formidable form. But we know that they are beatable,” she said.
“We’ve taken a lot of confidence in our last two games and we’ve had a good week at training, so I’m looking forward to the contest.”
