ROUND 6 PREVIEW: LIGHTNING V VIXENS

Lightning will take on the Melbourne Vixens this weekend for the second week in a row on the road.

Coming up against her former side, Liz Watson will want to put out a strong performance to end the Vixen’s unbeaten streak.

KEY MATCH UP

Steph Fretwell v Jo Weston

Two highly experienced players, Fretwell and Weston are no strangers after spending several years playing together at the international level.

Weston is known for working down her opponents, so Fretwell will have to use her smarts to keep Weston out of the game.

COACH'S COMMENT

Head Coach Belinda Reynolds said while the game is going to be tough, it’s within reach.

“It’s always going to be tough. Vixens have been a formidable outfit for a number of years now and we’re going into their home territory,” she said.

“But we believe we match up really well against the Vixens, and we’ve played really good netball in the last couple of games, it’s just those finishing touches.”
