Sunshine Coast Lightning will travel to Sydney this weekend to take on GIANTS Netball in Round 5.
The GIANTS are yet to secure a win, and Lightning will be wanting that to continue for another week after suffering a devastating one-goal loss to the Mavericks last weekend.
KEY MATCH UP
Ash Ervin v Jo Harten
Ervin up against Harten will be one to watch this weekend. Ervin has been finishing each game with impressive stats, and while only 20 years old has been taking it to the more experienced shooters in the competition.
Harten brings a wealth of experience to the GIANTS attack line, and plays a pivotal roll in ensuring the connection between the midcourters and the shooters.
COACH'S COMMENT
Head Coach Belinda Reynolds said they are expecting another tough match up this weekend.
“We’re expecting a really fired-up GIANTS chasing their first win. But we also know how important this win is for our season, so I expect it to be another tough battle,” she said.
“I was really pleased with our start this past weekend, so hopefully we can start the game well again and take it to the GIANTS and put them under pressure. Especially with shooting those two-pointers.”
