Sunshine Coast Lightning has officially been recognised as a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Business Awards for 2021 in the Festivals and Events category.
This is the third time the Club has been named as a finalised, as well as taking out the Festival and Events category award in the first Premiership year.
As a community Club, engaging with people in the region and supporting local business is a priority for Lightning, in addition to promoting the Sunshine Coast to a global audience.
Lighting’s impact on the Sunshine Coast is also far reaching and even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Club produced tangible economic results through two Queensland based hubs whereby all 8 SSN teams relocated to South East Queensland. This is in addition to growing its international partnership portfolio.
The social impact of Lightning is even more substantial – with hordes of loyal followers who take joy out of attending matches, pursuing their own netball path, and engaging with the Club across digital channels and community appearances.
The Sunshine Coast Business Awards will be held on Saturday 13 of November to celebrate businesses large and small that operate out of the region.
Other Festivals and Events finalists are Noosa Alive and the Ironman Group.
