The Constellation Cup kicked off last night in Melbourne, with the Origin Diamonds setting the tone early with a 50 to 40 win over New Zealand.
Cara Koenen played out most of the match, dominating in the circle and finishing on an impressive 87% shooting accuracy.
The New Zealand Silver Ferns will be hungry for a win against the world champions, and will put them to the test again in Brisbane this Sunday, before making the trip to New Zealand to play the remaining matches.
