Sunshine Coast Lightning Training Partner, Charlie Bell has received a Temporary Replacement Player contract with New Zealand-based, Trident Homes Tactix.
After the Tactix were dealt an injury blow ahead of their ANZ Premiership season-opener, Bell has been called into the side and will remain with the team for at least their opening two matches.
She arrived in Christchurch on Tuesday night and joins the Tactix for training this week ahead of their first match of the season.
Lightning Head Coach Belinda Reynolds said she was thrilled for the young goal shooter.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Charlie and I am incredibly proud and excited for her to join the Tactix camp in Christchurch,” she said.
“I’ve been very impressed with Charlie’s performance this pre-season, and I’m looking forward to see what she can bring to the team and what learnings she can take from the experience.”
The Tactix host the Steel at Wolfbrook Arena on Monday night at 7.30pm and back this up against the Stars on Sunday 21 April at 4pm.
