Binnian Hunt New Zealand Bound

Sunshine Coast Lightning can today confirm Binnian Hunt has accepted a playing contract with Te Wananga o Raukawa Pulse ahead of the 2022 ANZ Premiership season.

The Club is thrilled to see Hunt receive this development opportunity after four successful seasons as a Training Partner and elevated squad member at Lightning.

Head Coach Kylee Byrne said Hunt was incredibly deserving of this opportunity and looks forward to seeing what she can achieve with increased game time in a competitive league.

“Binni has been an integral member of our wider Lightning squad for many years now and we’re all genuinely excited for her,” Byrne said.

“We’ve seen her development fast tracked in the past two seasons, making her Suncorp Super Netball debut and seeing more regular game time, so I am confident this next phase in her netball career will only benefit her tenfold.

“Binni will always remain part of the Lightning family and we can’t wait to see her grow and mature as an athlete in a new environment.”

Hunt has been part of the Sunshine Coast Lightning environment as a Training Partner since 2018.
