Add a second defender to the circle
One defender must maintain the front position on the stationary attacker - looking for good angles and repositioning quickly
If the first defender comes off the shooter to intercept a ball between two of the throwers, the other defender must then cover the shooter
Defender's footwork must be quick with small steps to get around the shooter's body
Ensure the defender maintains an angle with their body, so they have vision of the shooter they are defending as well as vision of where the ball is
Defender to keep their body upright with eyes up
If a defender is having a go at the intercept and is unsuccessful, must recover quickly
Lots of communication and talk between two defenders is needed, e.g. calling when you are going for the intercept
This project has received support from the Sunshine Coast Councils Sports Industry Development grant that was awarded through the Australian and Queensland Governments under the 2019 Queensland Bushfires Local Economic Recovery Program. The Program was established to support projects that contribute to the economic and/or social recovery of the communities most heavily impacted by the Queensland Bushfires, and reduces the impact of future events on the community.
