Ball starts with thrower (start defender a little passive)
Attacker drives out towards the defender away from the ball, quickly changes direction by pushing off on their outside foot to cut in front of the defender creating the space to take the front cut and receive the pass
Definite full-pace leads are needed to drag defender out of position to create the space to drive into
The thrower may need to lift the pass slightly so it is easier for balance on take - placement is very important
Ensure the player does a hard push off on the outside foot to beat the defender
This project has received support from the Sunshine Coast Councils Sports Industry Development grant that was awarded through the Australian and Queensland Governments under the 2019 Queensland Bushfires Local Economic Recovery Program. The Program was established to support projects that contribute to the economic and/or social recovery of the communities most heavily impacted by the Queensland Bushfires, and reduces the impact of future events on the community.
