The Sunshine Coast Lightning are back at UniSC Arena in Round 12 of the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season.
Taking on the GIANTS this weekend, the Lightning remain unchanged following their 10-point loss to the Mavericks in Round 11.
This will be the second match up between the two sides this year, with the Lightning getting the four points in Round 6.
Lightning Head Coach, Belinda Reynolds said her side has plenty of fire in the belly to finish the season with a string of wins.
“Last week we played a lot of good netball but just couldn’t quite put it together for the full 60 minutes,” Reynolds said.
“We reviewed the game quite hard and identified areas we need to go to work on to get us back in the hunt for finals.
“We’ve got a great opportunity this week back at our home venue at UniSC in front a packed crowd to build some momentum for the last three weeks.”
The matchup between mid-courters Leesa Mi Mi and Amy Sligar will be an intriguing battle and will set up the game both offensively and defensively.
The young guns are set to reignite their rivalry on Saturday night with this contest going a long way to helping decide the results.
Mi Mi enjoyed a strong outing against the GIANTS in Round 6.
The 25-year-old had 22 feeds, two deflections and three gains for the match disrupting the GIANTS offense.
Sligar, who was named at wing defence in the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball Team of the Year has enjoyed another strong season.
Renowned for her work rate, athleticism and ability to influence both attacking and defensive phases of the game, Sligar posing a threat for the Lightning’s midcourt.
