USC Introduce New Netball Pathway With Emerging Athletes Program
Is there an aspiring Sunshine Coast Lightning player in your ranks?
USC Netball Academy have announced their inaugural Emerging Athlete Program as a grassroots pathway into the USC Thunder and Lightning environment.
The 12 month program will see a focus on developing key athletic attributes and skills necessary to progress into elite netball.
The Emerging Athletes Program will have ties to USC Thunder in Queensland’s Sapphire Series, providing a practical and competitive environment for participants to hone their craft.
The program is open to athletes with exceptional potential and is a talent identification program run by USC and is open to both netballers and those with other sporting backgrounds.
The initiative provides a learning opportunity and access to elite player training programs.
Expressions of interest are now open, with trials to be held in late January and early February.
Sunshine Coast Lightning is proudly co-owned by USC, with Club Training Partners aligned to USC Thunder in the Sapphire Series for a second consecutive season.
