Sunshine Coast Lightning Partial Fixture Revealed

The Suncorp Super Netball League today released a partial 2020 Season fixture, detailing the first six rounds of play.

Sunshine Coast Lightning open the season with a Queensland derby against Firebirds at Nissan Arena on Saturday 1 August from 1pm.

Lightning Members won’t have to wait too long to see netball back at USC Stadium, with the Club playing host to Collingwood Magpies in Round Two of the competition on Saturday 8 August from 1pm.

In fact, five of Lightning’s first six games will be held at USC Stadium, with Round Three against Melbourne Vixens the only game deemed an away game.

The Vixens clash is the first mid-week game for Lightning of the season, in what will be a condensed season format.

The Round Three game will take place at USC Stadium on Wednesday at 7:30pm.

Suncorp Super Netball are committed to completing a full 60 match season in a condensed format, with Queensland acting as a hub for the vast majority of games.

Given current border restrictions and the ongoing flexibility required to facilitate a full SSN season, the league have initially released the first six rounds of the fixture, with the remaining games to be announced in mid-August.
