Social: Interaction, enjoyment, communication and participation
Teaching junior netballer to land, or regularly as part of a warm up
Use a line or rope for players to jump over and land
Players run up to the line and land with two feet
Use a thrower to pass the ball as they land
Change to take off and land on one foot, using the second the balance- practice left and right
Change the distance and the pace of the drive and land – increase as they improve
Get players to have a small jump into the land
Ensure players are landing softly with bent knees
Ensure knees and feet are inline on the land
Encourage them to use a variety of passes
Give them time to make mistakes and keep building on their footwork so it become autonomous
