Known for her athleticism and height, Black can cover all three centre court positions after a shift to also cover Wing Defence in 2021. The midcourter is a current Australian U19 squad member and has impressed in a number of Queensland underage teams and the recent Sapphires side in the Born to Shine series.

Black, who hails from Toowoomba, was named the 2020 Sapphire Series Most Valuable Player after a stellar season for the Bond Bull Sharks.
