Who came to one or more of our home games this season!? What an honour! Sunshine Coast Lightning has been named as a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Business Awards in the Festivals and Events category for 2019! Bringing elite sport and entertaining game days to the Sunshine Coast is what we LOVE to do, so to be recognised in the community is amazing! #TogetherWeStrike @scbusinessawards #sunshinecoast @visitsunshinecoast #events #award #finalist #netball
The completed USC Stadium redevelopment allowed even more Members and fans to attend our six home games on the coast to see elite professional sport first-hand.
Recent Nielsen Sport findings, ranked Lightning number one for match day experience across the Suncorp Super Netball, in key metrics such as fan avidity, repeat attendance, Net Promoter Score and overall satisfaction.
The independent Fan Experience report further confirms Lightning games not only compete with other regional offerings but with the national league.
Finals netball was also offered on the Sunshine Coast for the first time in 2019, when Lightning hosted the Major Semi Final against NSW Swifts earlier this month at USC Stadium.
As an organisation, we take pride in delivering engaging and entertaining match days and events, while also drawing on our connections with a range of local businesses to help promote the Sunshine Coast on a national stage.
Sunshine Coast Council, USC, Sunshine Coast Airport, Visit Sunshine Coast, Avid Property and Springfree are proud local partners of Lightning. We also value our strong affiliations with other local organisations such as the Compass Institute supporting further education, skills based learning and life pathways for local young people with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Lightning would not be the success it is without the support and involvement of the community – businesses and fans alike.
Lightning would like to congratulate all of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards finalists ahead of the Gala Awards evening on November 9 2019.
