11 INTERNATIONALLY CAPPED ATHLETES AND SIX NETBALLING NATIONS WILL BE REPRESENTED WHEN THE ADELAIDE THUNDERBIRDS HOST SUNSHINE COAST LIGHTNING IN THEIR ROUND 3 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL CLASH ON SUNDAY.
Priceline Stadium will feature a feast of international talent with four England Roses (Ama Agbeze, Jade Clarke, Geva Mentor and Chelsea Pitman), three Australian Diamonds (Caitlin Bassett, Erin Bell and Stephanie Wood), one New Zealand Silver Fern (Laura Langman), one Scottish Thistle (Fiona Themann), one Jamaican Sunshine Girl (Malysha Kelly) and one SPAR Protea (Karla Mostert).
With more than 650 international test caps between them, there will certainly be no shortage of talent when these two clubs clash on Sunday afternoon.
The Sunshine Coast Lightning have the most experienced internationals on their side, with Laura Langman is the most capped in the group, followed by Geva Mentor.
The Thunderbirds will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing Round 2 loss to the NSW Swifts, and return to the form that saw them snatch a last-quarter victory over the West Coast Fever at season’s start.
The Lightning will be hoping to build on their Round 2 win over the Melbourne Vixens, playing their first ever game outside Queensland.
The Adelaide Thunderbirds will host the Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday at 12.30pm local time. The game will also be shown live on Telstra TV and the Netball Live App. Tickets available via Ticketmaster.
